We lost my grandparents during covid: my grandma at the beginning, her only having a tiny, socially distanced funeral; my grandad at the end but from a care home where our access to him was limited. There was a lot of unprocessed grief. A beautiful, family memorial in September 2023 gave us all some closure on a very difficult time and allowed us to make new memories that still included grandma and grandad.
